GENERAL ENGINEER, Netherlands

We're looking for an engineer to join our Texel team. Our engineering team works across projects that span many different technologies and that have many different applications. We're looking for someone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and go outside of their comfort zone. Only people that enjoy learning new things and that are willing to go the extra mile will be the right fit for this role. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE  

  • The primary duty is to assist the chief engineer in completion of technical projects
  • Design and fabrication of parts to assist in completion of the projects (Including working with CNC, Machining, 3D printing technologies among others)
  • Assembly, testing and commissioning of equipment
  • Performing of maintenance and upgrades to various vehicles and equipment
  • Procurement of specialist equipment and parts

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCES  

Mandatory:  

  • Formal Degree level training in engineering or nearby STEM subject, 2:1 or above
  • Maximum flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Out of the box, innovative thinking, project driven and passionate about technology and innovation
  • Exceptional Team working and problem solving skills
  • Fluent English

Preferred:  

  • Experience and some specialisation with one or more of the following:
    • Machining and fabrication
    • Metalworking/welding
    • CNC, laser cutting and/or 3d printing
    • Systems integration
    • PLCs, electronic systems and coding
    • Pneumatics and motions systems
    • Robotics
  • Driving Licence
  • Competent with the use of CAD software
  • Multilingual

TECHNICIAN, Netherlands

  • Working with fabrication tools such as metalworking machines
  • Assembly of equipment
  • Performing of maintenance and upgrades to various vehicles and equipment
  • Procurement of maintenance and operational parts

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCES  

Mandatory: 

  • Secondary school level training or MBO/HBO technical education
  • Maximum flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Good Team working and problem solving skills
  • Competent English 

Preferred: 

  • College level technical training
  • Experience and some specialisation with one or more of the following:
    • Machining and fabrication
    • Metalworking/welding
    • CNC, laser cutting and/or 3d printing
